Overview

Perry Construction Management led a $2 million brownfield project to remove and reinstall a packaging line at a production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The project focused on dismantling and replacing a complex line used for packaging nuts and dried fruits. PCM ensured minimal disruption to ongoing operations through precise coordination, phased execution, and safety oversight.

Scope of Work

  • Electrical demolition and equipment disassembly
  • Disconnection and removal of Line 3 (sacker/loader, conveyors, mezzanine)
  • Removal of Line 1 utilities and key components (hoist, tower, oil system)
  • Equipment staging and shipment coordination for Line 4
  • Contractor trailer refeed prep and palletizer decommissioning
  • Reinstallation and optimization of the packaging line

Results

Through detailed planning and seamless coordination between multiple contractors, the project was executed with minimal impact to operations and no safety incidents. PCM delivered a fully optimized packaging line that supports the company’s production goals, demonstrating operational excellence and effective management of complex, multi-phase industrial upgrades.
